Two New Webinars to Help You Prepare for Retirement

PERA’s Retirement Process Webinar has been redesigned and separated into two workshops to better support members planning for retirement and applying for retirement.   

Two Years From Retirement 

If you are two years from retirement, now is an ideal time to begin planning and exploring your next steps. During the Decisions Before Retiring Workshop, you’ll learn how to use PERA’s online retirement calculators, estimate your monthly PERA income, understand factors that may affect when you can retire, and explore important steps in the retirement planning process. This workshop is offered three times each month. 

90 Days From Retirement 

If you are retiring in 60-90 days, the Applying for Retirement Workshop is designed to help you complete your paperwork with confidence, so you can begin receiving your monthly retirement payment. You’ll learn how to complete your required retirement forms, avoid common mistakes on your paperwork, learn which optional forms you may want to complete, and know when to submit your retirement paperwork. We recommend you attend the Decisions Before Retiring Workshop first to familiarize yourself with topics not covered fully in this workshop. This workshop is offered two times each month.
