PERA Board Retains Aon as Investment Consultant
2025-11-21T10:28:40DENVER—The Colorado PERA Board of Trustees today voted to retain Aon Investments USA Inc. (Aon) as its defined benefit investment consultant.
The Board directed staff to issue a request for proposals (RFP) in April and four firms responded with proposals. The Board’s Investment Committee interviewed three firms and recommended selecting Aon, the Board’s current investment consultant, due to the company’s depth of knowledge, comprehensive consulting capabilities, and research infrastructure.
“Aon brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience in institutional investment consulting, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them,” said PERA Chief Investment Officer/Chief Operating Officer Amy C. McGarrity.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing PERA’s investment program and utilizes an investment consultant to provide research, analysis, and advice in areas such as investment strategy, asset allocation, and fund performance. The investment consultant also conducts periodic asset/liability analysis that informs PERA’s strategic asset allocation, performance benchmarks, and assumed rate of return.
