PERA Announces Results of 2026 Trustee Election

DENVER—The Colorado PERA Board of Trustees today announced that one new Trustee has been elected, and one Trustee has been reelected to serve on the Board:

• School Division: Tonya J. Thompson was reelected to a 4-year term.
• State Division (Higher Education): Chad Marturano was elected to a 4-year term.

Thompson is the General Counsel for Harrison School District 2 and has been on the PERA Board since July 2025.

Marturano is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the University of Colorado System. He fills a seat currently held by Lisa Landis, whose term expires June 30.

Elected Trustees will begin their terms on July 1.

By State law, the Colorado General Assembly sets contribution rates and benefit levels and the PERA Board of Trustees has oversight of investments and benefit administration. The Board is composed of 16 Trustees, 12 of whom are elected by the PERA membership, three Governor-appointed Trustees, and the State Treasurer who serves as an ex officio voting member of the Board.
