Colorado PERA Director of Insurance Jessica Linart Elected Vice President of Public Sector HealthCare Roundtable

DENVER—Colorado PERA Director of Insurance Jessica Linart has been elected vice president of the Board of Directors of the Public Sector HealthCare Roundtable, a nonpartisan coalition of public pension plans and other public-sector health plan administrators.

Linart has been with Colorado PERA since 2003 and became Director of Insurance in 2016. As Director, Linart oversees PERACare, PERA’s health benefits program that provides coverage to PERA members, retirees, and their families.

PERA is a member of the Public Sector HealthCare Roundtable and values partnering with other public plans to pursue policies and initiatives that lower costs and improve the value and quality of health care for public workers in the United States.

“I’m honored to be elected as HealthCare Roundtable’s next vice president,” Linart said. “As a coalition of public entities that collectively cover millions of Americans, the Roundtable has the opportunity to shape health care policy in meaningful ways, and I look forward to working with my colleagues toward that goal.”

PERACare is the voluntary health, dental, and vision benefits program for PERA retirees and their eligible dependents, covering more than 71,000 retirees and more than 20,000 dependents. PERACare offers four pre-Medicare plans: two national PPO plans with UMR and an HMO and a High Deductible Health Plan with Kaiser Permanente of Colorado; and three Medicare Advantage plans: two national PPO plans with UnitedHealthcare and a regional HMO plan with Kaiser Permanente.

Colorado PERA provides retirement and other benefits to over 700,000 current and former teachers, State Troopers, corrections officers, snowplow drivers, and other public employees who provide valuable service to all of Colorado. PERA is a vital and stable contributor to Colorado’s economy, distributing $4.55 billion in benefits in 2023 to more than 114,000 retirees who live in Colorado.
