Changes Coming to PERAPlus Plans in 2027

As a result of House Bill 26-1026, changes are coming to the PERAPlus 401(k) and 457 Plans. Effective January 1, 2027, all PERA members will be able to participate in both the 401(k) and 457 Plans with both pre-tax and Roth options. Additionally, all PERAPlus 457 contributions will be handled directly through employers instead of Empower. 

PERA will communicate more details on how these changes will impact members as we get closer to January 1, 2027.
